Hmm, Ok, in short, this dessert was not "worth the weight."
I love The Little Next Door and frequent it often for its amazing and fresh French cuisine, which is why I'm bummed to report that their flourless chocolate cake was a small mound of dense chalkiness. The whipped-cream was the hero of the cake, giving it much needed moistness. However, the cream was whipped so light-as-air that it only punctuated how dense the mound on my plate was.
Finally, the white chocolate pirouette could have really saved the day since I love white chocolate. Alas, good white chocolate is hard to pull off and this was no exception.
