Today I decided to try a large Chocolate Chip cookie from the Whole Foods bakery. I thought the cookie looked promising as the baked brown rim gradated to a lighter shade in the center, signifying chewy-goodness.
The first bite got my hopes up as I was right about the consistency of this cookie. Perfection! I had a bunch of chocolate in that first bite as well, which you can never go wrong with. But as I continued my journey through this cookie, I grew disappointed with each passing bite. It turned out to be rather bland. I think a little bit of salt would have really gone a long way, but as is, the cookie is a complete waste of space.
Points for wonderful texture, consistency and natural ingredients, but otherwise, this cookies is a pass.
Have you had Bakelab's chocolate chip cookies yet? They are amazing! Perfectly crisp around the edges and pleasantly gooey in the center. Kristin Feuer (the pastry chef) is always dropping off fresh ones at the Oaks Market in Hollywood. You should definitely check them and her other goodies out some time. The snowballs are also fabulous! :)

oh my gosh! I had the exact opposite experience! http://chloescookieblog.com/2010/07/cookie-review-whole-foods-chocolate-chip-cookie/ Maybe the Whole Foods bake different cookies? This Whole Foods was in Thousand Oaks or Westlake Village.
