Running.
That word can evoke a range of emotions for people. Some readers might see Bliss, while others see Hades. I used to jog all the time, but had retired my running shoes for a few years when I read a Jennifer Anniston quote that attributed running to her rockin' bod. Well, that did the trick! Ok, RUNNING- Bleh. I'll try you again..
For me, running breaks down a little like this:
Time Before the run, (dreading it) = Hell
Time During the run= Purgatory
Time After the run= Heaven!!!
It takes a while to get back into the swing of things. So here are my
TIPS:
1) Have LOW expectations and Be Patient. It may be 2 weeks to a Month before you have your mo-jo.
2) Get an i-pod with great music and set it shuffle. When you're starting out at first, Walk 2 songs, jog the 3rd, walk 2 songs, jog the next, etc.
3) As you get in better shape, Jog two songs, walk the third, jog two songs, walk the third
4) You're body will eventually get into the swing of things and soon you will be addicted to your runs! Seriously. Once you put in the leg work (eh hem), you will have earned yourself sunshiny-bliss with a cherry on top.
And THAT my friends, is a Thinny Thursday tip to how the DD eats desserts and maintains her physique!~
Are you going to try running to change your body? Keep me posted on how these tips work out for you!!
XOXO
I go back and forth. I run at lunch or after work for a few months, then I don't for a few months...back and forth.
